This is my before and after picture! It shows why I believe personal training can help anybody eat better, lose weight, and get active for life! I was 50 lbs overweight and felt a lot of aches through out my body. I was tired most of the time and had trouble playing with my kids who were 2 and 5 years old at the time. Now, I not only keep up with them, but often, I have more energy than they do! -Cindy
I am a native of North Carolina, and an Appalachian State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. I am a wife and also a mother of two children. I decided to become a personal trainer after successfully losing weight and becoming fit with the help of my own personal trainer. But, personal training wasn't just the way to meet my goals. The challenging workouts and taking better care of my body became something I looked forward to more and more. I found that I enjoyed sharing what I learned about exercise, fitness, and nutrition with others to help them reach their goals. I enjoy it so much that I became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE.)
I believe in personal training!
I believe that having a Personal Trainer progressing my workout program and holding me accountable is what I need to get stronger, and to stay active. That's why I continue to work with my own trainer. I tried many things before personal training, but I found everything else hard to stick with because those things weren't fun and personally motivating. Personal training is different since you are challenged with new and harder things continuously. You are cheered on to finish that workout and congratulated as you meet your goal by your personal trainer, somebody that appreciates how hard you've worked and seen how far you've come. I love to see others reach their fitness goals. I love to cheer and encourage them. That's what I do as a trainer.
